Kim Barry lives in the seaside town of Mattapoisett, MA. Her work is infused with influences and inspirations from this beautiful coastal environment. Her landscapes are painted onsite and reflect the energy of the weather, season and time of day. Her studio paintings are from observation of natural objects and created in her studio located at #410 Hatch Street Studios, 88 Hatch Street, New Bedford, MA.. Kim is also a member of The Providence Art Club, South Coast Artists, Westport Art Group, Marion Art Center, Gallery X and New Bedford Art Museum. Kim holds a BFA in Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Painting from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She has been an art educator most of her life and former chair of Visual and Performing Arts at CATS Academy Boston.
